We first met Tavia and Ruben during our roadtrip last winter when they offered to host us in San Diego. It felt so natural to hang out with them and we had the best time, especially during our engagement session, where we really saw their personalities shine! Since then, Daniel and I have looked forward to Tavia’s emails; always filled to the brim with her hilarious wit. She’s been a great source of entertainment when we’ve needed a distraction from our long working days in the studio.

We are so happy that they chose us to photograph their awesome wedding in Santa Barbara. We totally fell in love with the place and of course, we were already very much in love with Tavia and Ruben!

When Jessica and Jason picked us to photograph their wedding, it was a particularly big honor, seeing as how Jessica is a fellow Montreal wedding vendor. She makes the most delicious and beautiful cakes and we’ve had the pleasure of working with her several times in the past. She even made our engagement party cake which was a huge hit with our friends and family!

We also happen to know that Jessica and Jason make a beautiful bride and groom, as they were our models for the style me pretty photoshoot we did a while back with Unity Weddings (who also worked on their wedding). This actually made photographing their real wedding a little odd at first, but it was great to see their personalities and personal style shine through this time around. They opted for a trendy, lounge-y, cocktail evening wedding with THREE wedding cakes (made by Jessica of course) and lots of Beatles tunes. It was such a refreshingly different vibe which really suited these two.
